Here’s a quick read for you this weekend: ClickZ published an article yesterday called, Who’s In Control? By Rebecca Lieb. It is an excellent overview on brand democratization and how the Internet is really peeling away at the wall between consumers and marketers.
Lieb also highlights many of the more popular consumer generated content that helped spawned the term Web 2.0.
I love this quote from the article:
“Control is long gone and its only replacement is a combination of acceptance, flexibility and mutual respect between consumer and marketer.”
