Geek Dinner Toronto II – The Conversation Continues

I’m zonked. Dead on my feet. We did not finish up Geek Dinner Toronto II until a little past midnight this morning. Michael Seaton and I sent out invitations via email and our Blogs and over twenty of Toronto’s Digerati and marketing professionals agreed to join us tonight over at Brasserie Frisco.
The guest list included people from Microsoft, Pepsi, Sears Travel, RIM, Rogers, the Canadian Franchise Association and many more. I’m actually frustrated that I didn’t have enough time to talk with everybody.
After dinner, we recorded a great thirty-minute-plus conversation (check out the next episode of Six Pixels Of Separation – The Twist Image Podcast for the clip). The participants for the recording were:
Michael SeatonScotiabank and The Client Side.
Sulemaan Ahmed – Sears Travel, One Degree and The Canadian Marketing Blog.
David JonesFleishman Hillard, Inside PR and PR Works.
Chris ClarkeThornley Fallis and Student PR.
– Ed Lee – iStudio and Blogging Me Blogging You.
Sean MoffitAgent Wildfire.
Ed Lee has a great photo over here: Blogging Me Blogging You – Digerati Dinner.
Too many smart people in one room. Too many great conversations going on at once. Social media is not just about Blogging and commenting. I sincerely believe that the friendships we are developing in person were facilitated by this new way of communicating. Through the power of Blogs (like this one), I am able to be introduced to and develop relationships with people from all over the world who enjoy the same types of things as I do. I’m also lucky enough to get introduced to what is of interest to them… and I’m a better person because of it.
I can’t wait for Geek Dinner Toronto III. We may just yet take David Jones’ name suggestion: My Big Fat Geek Dinner.
