Googled!

Ken Auletta is the author of Googled – The End of the World As We Know It (which was published early last month). The book is already a business best-seller.

Auletta is an accomplished author (eleven books) and has written the Annals of Communication column for The New Yorker magazine since 1992. Googled is described as: "telling the story of how it [Google] formed and crashed into traditional media businesses-from newspapers to books, to television, to movies, to telephones, to advertising, to Microsoft. With unprecedented access to Google’s founders and executives, as well as to those in media who are struggling to keep their heads above water, Auletta reveals how the industry is being disrupted and redefined."

I have yet to read the book (just downloaded it to my Sony Reader), but I caught Auletta being interviewed on Charlie Rose (do a search over on Rose’s website to find it) the other night and thought his perspective on media and advertising was fascinating. He was also recently interview on C-SPAN, which you can watch right here: C-SPAN – Q&A – Ken Auletta.
