This morning I got my copy of Research Brief provided by The Center For Media Research. Today’s email was titled: Bloggers Are Younger, Wealthier and High Speed Connected.
This report is connected to a comScore Networks PDF titled, Behaviors Of The Blogosphere: Understanding The Scale, Composition And Activities Of Weblog Audiences.
The August 2005 report claims that almost fifty million Americans (which is about 30% of the total U.S. Internet population) visited some form of Blog in the first quarter of 2005.
Two other key points were:
1. “Compared to the average Internet user, Blog readers are significantly more likely to live in wealthier households, be younger and connect to the Web on high-speed connections.”
2. “Blog readers also visit nearly twice as many web pages as the Internet average, and they are much more likely to shop online.”
You can view the full report here: Behaviors Of The Blogosphere: Understanding The Scale, Composition And Activities Of Weblog Audiences.
I have to tell you, I don’t feel younger, I’m probably not wealthier but I may be just a little more connected than you. Take that as you wish.
I Am Younger, Wealthier And More Connected Than You
