Marketing is about understanding the human condition. And, while we have changed so dramatically as people, there are certain evolutionary things that stick with us. When trying to figure out why we do things, there are few people as interesting as Adam Alter. Alter is an assistant professor of marketing and psychology at NYU‘s Stern School of Business and psychology department. His research focuses on the intersection of behavioral economics, marketing, and the psychology of judgment and decision-making. His first book, Drunk Tank Pink: And Other Unexpected Forces That Shape Our Thoughts, Feelings, and Behaviors, is a fantastic read.
