I used to hit Vancouver nearly twice a year. I love the city along with the Province of British Columbia (even more now that I have family out there).
I was recently invited by the IIMA (International Internet Marketing Association) to give an evening presentation discussing online branding. Well come and hang out! on April 13th at UBC Robson Square from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, I am presenting: The “It” Factor – Create A Resonating Online Brand.
Here is the description of the event from the IIMA’s website:
You know “It” when you see “It.” How do online brands like Google, eBay, Yahoo! and Hotmail do it so fast? What made Burger King’s Subservient Chicken spread? Learn how to turn your business into something people will talk about, remember, use and tell everyone else about. The “It” Factor includes elements of strategy, design, content, technology, buzz and strokes of genius into something so simple that people not only buy your brand, but join it. Understand the main factors that make “It” happen. Learn how to inject “It” into your business and how to use “It” to gain lifelong loyalty and retention. Become a micro (or even macro!) monopoly in your space. Understand the main laws that make “It” happen. See real-life examples of how Gillette, Blackberry, Nike and even the rock band Kiss use “It” to capture mindshare at every touch-point…and how you can too.
