Episode #180 of Six Pixels of Separation – The Twist Image Podcast is now live and ready for you to listen to. It’s also episode #21 of Media Hacks.
We have a pretty full crew on this latest episode of the Media Hacks audio podcast. C.C. Chapman, Hugh McGuire, Julien Smith and me tackle everything from the language we use to augmented reality. It’s a lively debate about our new world as we all seem to grapple with how to make a Podcast something more and something different than just another radio show. We also look at how mobile and online social networks are quickly becoming one as more and more gaming-type components get added to the fray. This Podcast is not work-safe (it rarely is when Julien is involved). Enjoy the conversation…

Ratings must be up as I am now the 3rd listener after Scoble and Taylor. Please don’t f!@*ing censor Julien, otherwise your ratings might drop 50%. Water down the show, lose the emotion and it will just be some generic marketing podcast.Â
As Seth says you can’t be everything to everyone, but you can carve out a niche, make a remarkable product, and lead your followers. You officially have a Tribe now so don’t lessen the show to make the podcast palatable for a fourth listener.
Lastly if someone can’t share this show to their boss because of an F’bomb, what are they going to do when they do a raw seach for the company name or other keyword on Twitter or some other listening platform? Julien sounds like a nun compared to many comments made in the real world by customers everday. Please don’t sell out and call-up the local dermatologist for laser tatoo removal. If you can’t handle a few F’bombs get out of Julien’s kitchen.
Hey I already claimed to be that “one” other listener,.. Wow! Now you have four apparently. Ditto what Craig said. PLEASE don’t you dare censor Julien or anyone else on the show. Where are those f!@*kers that complained? Have they joined the conversation?,.. or just sit back and complain about others having one. Actually, I just realized now I’m doing the same thing telling you what to do,… come to think of it, it’s your show, you can do whatever you want.
Anyways, love the show, thanks to all of your for taking the time!
So I guess I’m listener 5. Just backing up what Craig and Steve have said here already – beeping out the ‘colourful language’ would be a bad idea for the show. I listen to a couple of podcasts where the host is real proud of his ‘family safe’ rating and beeps or blanks out the occasional swear word from his guests. That just annoys me. We’re grown ups and listening to the very natural conversation that you guys take the time to record is a privilege.
