How Facebook is already owning the Metaverse – Quartz.

Let’s discuss Meta… the new name for Facebook… or is it? This is more like Google creating the name, Alphabet, as the holding company for Google, YouTube, FitBit, Waze, etc… Meta will be the public/corporate name, but Facebook as we know it isn’t going anywhere. So… what is this metaverse that Mark Zuckerberg is talking about? Why do so many people hate the name Meta? Is Facebook the company that we want building what will be our future internet? What does this mean for Oculus? Let’s break it all down…
