It reads “Made-in-Montreal Blogs” and it’s the title of the cover story on today’s Weekend Life section of the Montreal Gazette. The article starts by saying, “In English, French and franglais, the city’s cyber-chroniclers find ties that bind.”
It turns out that on the first Wednesday of every month about two-dozen Montreal-based Bloggers get together at Bar La Cabane on St. Laurent Blvd. for drinks, discussion and to Blog.
The article goes on to say that there are close to 1,000 Bloggers in my fair city and that many “form a tight-knit community.” Yikes.
I’m heading over to Yulblog.org where they list these local events and aggregate postings from Montreal Bloggers. Think Meta-Search for Blogs. Meta-Blog.
Why I like this article? It brings the reality of Blogs to the masses. Why I don’t like this article? There are thousands of them just in Montreal and I wonder how many are impacting and provide value.
