David Weinberger is one of the four co-authors of my personal bible, The Cluetrain Manifesto. Weinberger also authored the book, Small Pieces Loosely Joined, and is recognized as one of the leading speakers on the effects of the Web.
While helping to organize the Digital Marketing Conference 2006 for the Canadian Marketing Association, our group of organizers brought forward the idea of creating a live reunion with all four authors of The Cluetrain Manifesto. The logistics were too much, but we did manager to score Weinberger as a keynote (in the interest of full-disclosure, I will also be a keynote speaker at the 2006 Digital Marketing Conference).
As a lead-up to the conference, which is taking place October 19th – 20th in Toronto, I have been conducting interviews for my Podcast, Six Pixels Of Separation, with some of the speakers (C.C. Chapman appeared on episode #7). Today, I had the honor of speaking with David Weinberger.
The full interview lasted almost an hour (it will be broken up into multiple episodes of Six Pixels Of Separation) where we discussed everything from Blogs to Tagging to how Weinberger went from writing bits for Woody Allen to becoming one of the leading thinkers of our times on the digital world.
The interview will also be made available, in its entirety, as a one-off Podcast that will appear on the CMA – Canadian Marketing Association – Digital Marketing website in the coming weeks.
Look for part one of my interview with David Weinberger this weekend on the latest edition of Six Pixels Of Separation – The Twist Image Podcast.
In the meantime, check out his Blog here: David Weinberger – Joho The Blog.
